On September 9, Apple unveiled iPhone 18 Pro, Pro Max and its first foldable iPhone, called Duo. Here are the key changes. Source: AP.
iPhone 18 Pro: Camera and battery
The 48-megapixel main camera gains a variable aperture from f/1.48 to f/4.0 to control incoming light and depth of field. Other changes include A20 Pro, more AI computing capacity and a larger vapor chamber for cooling. Apple quotes up to 43 hours of video playback for Pro Max, six more than its predecessor; wired charging should reach 50 percent in around 15 minutes with a compatible adapter. iPhone Duo: Two apps side by side
Duo pairs a 7.6-inch inner display with a 5.4-inch outer display, both supporting up to 120 Hz. iOS 27 enables two apps side by side; hardware includes A20 Pro, Touch ID in the side button and two 48-megapixel rear cameras, but no dedicated telephoto camera. Support for Apple Pencil (USB-C) is announced for later this year. Source: Apple.

Pandorex assessment: Camera improvements and endurance could matter more in everyday Pro use than additional peak performance. Duo mainly provides more workspace; whether that warrants at least €850 more than Pro depends on individual multitasking needs. Long-term durability and actual battery life need practical testing.
